At the end of last year, Sheet Piling (UK) Ltd, one of the UK’s leading piling contractors purchased a BSP CX85 impact hammer and power pack from us.
The purchase was a strategic move ‘in order to adapt to the change in demand for projects to use structural and weight efficient ‘Z’ section sheet piles as opposed to traditional ‘U’ section sheet piles’.
The BSP CX 85 is designed for driving various sheet pile profiles, tubular and ‘H’ piles with an ultimate load bearing of up to 6000 kN, whilst the 7000kg ram mass and maximum impact energy of 83 kN makes if suitable for all types of soils. It was purchased predominantly for crane suspended use but can also be mounted on a piling rig leader. This investment will further strengthen Sheet Piling (UK)’s position as a multi-disciplined steel piling contractor.
